I tried my best to hang on but am feeling truly like crap. In the interest of recovering at least partly for The Event, begged off at midday to get prescribed dope after stocking up on all the lozenges and cough mixtures 7-11 had earlier in the morn. Shocked the hell outta the Boss, who escorted me all the way to the cab-door. Am feeling much better being horizontal, but the mind just refuse to shut down.
