Trawled the Net for any evidences of yesterday's debacle, what with the flared tempers, raised voices and videophones whipped out. Nothing as yet. Might be in my work email, but had refused to bring back the laptop. Did find however, a blog of one of the student part-timers, who apparently had to work til 8plus. Poor girl. I ditto that simply... Yesterday sucked! Why oh why didn't I just blissfully signed off at 1.30???

But spent the tail of the day with amongst my favouritest people. Thanks guys for accompanying me. CC Kór actually came down when he called and found I was still at work. Funny how he got a rather cold reception from some people, though. Did they think HQ sent him down as a spy or something?

Have new bag, new outfits, new shoes to help me start the new school year with greater optimism. I was the one who's been teasing CC Kór mercilessly about dressing smartly to work, but now, I'm the one who'll miss sorely the 2months of wearing jeans & sneakers to work.

Ok, enough whining... Happy 2008, folks. Especially to us poor saps in the edu service. May everyone have a fantastic year ahead, even in the trepidation of new posts, new environments, new sectors. My very best wishes to all...

... and if all else fails, the weekend is half the week away... ;)
