Week 1 of work was only 3-days long. But what exhaustively long days they were.

P1 kids sometimes have little quirks, but I'll let it go if it helps them adjust to school, but sometimes they still make me feel a little taken back. My top 3 moments:-

(1) One boy came in my office at 7am with dark Robocop-type glasses. Turned out he was trying to hide his sore eyes.

(2) One girl insisted on wearing sparkly platforms to school. As it was rainy season, she slipped and fell, effectively curing her need to wear such footwear.

(3) One girl has been insisting on having her older brother sit in class with her, otherwise, she prefer to stand near the washrooms. Her mum got so sick of her nonsense that she got two tight slaps at the start of Day III. I was very proud of the Mum, who had earlier insisted to me that the daughter was NOT a spoilt child.
