Parents can be so "funny" sometimes.

A boy had a bad fall yesterday, bleeding off at least half a cup of blood from the 5cm diameter wound. After all my time dressing the wound nicely, he came back today to show me how when the dressing came off when he bathed, someone in the family "kindly" re-dressed the wound using tissue, scotch tape and masking tape!

Since the wound was still open, of course all the tissue got stuck to the scab! So had to subject the poor chap to some degree of pain to meticulously clean off all the tissue bits before it gets stuck and causes an infection!

*irritated*

Yes children fall down all the time, but doesn't mean should just treat lightly all their scraps, rights? Or let them wait until they come back to school for it to be properly looked into.

I finally managed to watch Child of Our Time yesterday. FANTASTICALLY FASCINATING show. *thumbs & toes up*

It's also a bit scary though. How the little things you do can go a long way in shaping the character of a child.

I felt almost as proud of Parys, the 2-year old to the arm-less mum as she was. At first, it seemed like she was letting him get the better of her, running all over the place when she can't do much to stop him. But the scene where she managed to get him down from his car-seat on her own, make him stay still while she manouvered to close & lock all the car doors, then made him stick close to her as they were crossing the road (she of course couldn't carry him or hold his hand). That was just such a poignant moment. Proud of Parys. And proud of the Mummy Alison too.

Of the testings, they also found that better-behaved children scores well on any tests conducted. I find it all so intriguing! Have always thought child psychology would be so intersting.

Ooh, btw, sis. The babies are not all grown-up. The series is not quite done yet. They are only 5 this year.
