Charlie And The Chocolate Factory

I have a confession to make. Me, the self-confessed avid reader, have never read the book... or any other Roald Dahl, actually. *dodge brickbats*

But really enjoyed the movie. I think Tim Burton's a genius in making so alive print to screen. Music score is catchy too.

I love the pop culture references! So very American Film! The Space Odyssey and Psycho bits in The Television Room scenes... Was those in the book too? I can't imagine when the book was written, but somehow I think that was more of the screenplay update.

Anyways, a pretty fun movie to catch.
