Great book. Emotionally stirring. You go along with the rollercoaster ride that Holly takes throughout the book. I thought of the saying "It's better to have loved and lost, than not to have loved and all". Despite this story, I still vehemently disagree. You won't miss something you don't know. To lose is a terrible feeling (and that's not just the perfectionistic, can't-lose side of me speaking). You never really get over it, you'll just learn to live with it somehow, with that echo of that empty part that once was...
