It's yet another weekend of weddings. Congrats to ID & TL. Dearie, you made a truly stunning bride.

It's only the 2nd wedding out of the A3-8s (though the 3rd and 4th will follow up pretty shortly). But couldn't get a full quorum, typical of recent years. Rather sad. Was hoping to meet up with everyone. But it would have been impossible anyways, with ZZ away for umrah.

Attended my first solemnisation ceremony at Ba'Alwie yesterday, and boy was it a bang. SO many people. And I mean M-A-N-Y.

Apparently there was some collaboration with the mosque with a Maulidul-Rasul commemoration. K surely regretted coz the super-cool Mr Daud Yusof was there with the news crew. ;)

But one moment that was imprinted in my mind was when the eldest bro of the bride leaned in to whisper something, and they exchanged a look and he kissed her forehead. That was such a poignant, kodak moment.

Made me think of how I wish someone else had a sibling. Coz at another wedding, however happy that someone tried to be, it must be difficult to accept someone else officially becoming your new mum, when you are still trying to cope with the loss of your own.

However mature and adult life thus far had made someone, in reality she's still just a teen.

I'm sorry we could no longer coordinate time together. I wish I could have been the "pseudo" sibling at least, just someone that could make her that she's not so alone.

I wish for the greatest happiness for that someone... coz she surely deserves it. Amin.
